A classic On One Inbred 29’er, inboard bar-ends, silver Shimano XT brakes, Velocity Blunt SS rims, 1-1/8″ headtube. What a machine! Starting with 26″ wheels, the Inbred was an affordable one-speed option starting in the early ’00s but was, sadly, discontinued almost a decade ago now. I think it’s fair to say that there are as many one-speeders who had their start on an Inbred as on most any rig. 

Boutique or budget-friendlier, current or classic, mountain, ATB, or other, if you have a single-speed bicycle to add to the MEATengines haikuniverse, it’s simpler than shifting:
